David Shipman, the firm's principal, has been a leader in the area's business community for over 40 years, active in many state and local business organizations. He has been Vice Chairman of the Ann Arbor Area Chamber of Commerce, and Chairman of the Ann Arbor Downtown Development Authority (DDA). A former veterinarian, he also twice served as Chairman of the Michigan Veterinary Medicine State Examining Board.
